Now that production is underway for the Space original series Bitten, we’ve got some first nibbles for you to feast your eyes on. The show stars Laura Vandervoort as Elena Michaels, the world’s only female werewolf. Once a foster child, Elena had been living what she thought was a normal life with her boyfriend Clayton Danvers (Greyston Holt) when she learned his dark secret the hard way: he was a werewolf, and with one small bite, she became one too.
After years surviving with the Pack at Stonehaven, a rural mansion that has served as a werewolf sanctuary for generations, Elena escapes to Toronto, where she starts working as a photographer and dating an ad exec named Philip McAdams (Paul Greene). But when bodies start turning up in Stonehaven’s backwoods, Elena returns home and finds herself caught between the life she wants and the family to which she’s bound.
Based on the bestselling novels by Canadian writer Kelley Armstong, Bitten also stars Greg Bryk as Jeremy Danvers, Clay’s foster father and leader of the Pack. The 13-episode first season is set to premiere in early 2014 on Space.
