Laura Vandervoort 's paintings

In this time Laura started to paint as a hobby.
I wanted to share these works here because honestly I find it really amazing.
The artist has been shown to have good taste and talent in the selection of combinations of colors, has used in both works nice tones, fresh, relaxing and natural.
Almost seems that she has used spring colors for the first, while autumn or\and metropolitan colors for the second work.
Anyway for me these paintings are excellent especially if we consider that they are only first attempts.
The actress as usual has demonstrated the versatility of her talent which now includes also the field of painting. Quality that I really admire in her.
I will not be surprised if in the future we could admire her works in any art exhibition dedicated to them.

Here are the photos of her early works that the actress has shared on Twitter:

The final episodes of Haven where Laura Vandervoort is a guest star rescheduled for January

Syfy has rescheduled the final episodes of Haven where Laura Vandervoort is a guest star for January,  now the next date with the final two episodes of Season 3 will air on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 8 to 10pm EST.

We remember that the episode of last Friday (December 14, 2012, the penultimate of the third season) is not aired (and postponed to a later date) for respect to victims of the tragedy in the elementary school Newtown (in Connecticut), because this episode contained scenes of fictitious violence in a high school.

Haven will not be airing tonight out of respect to the victims of today’s tragedy in the Newtown Elementary School

The episode of Haven (in with Laura Vandervoort is guest star) will not be airing tonight out of respect to the victims of today’s tragedy in the Newtown Elementary School (Connecticut).

Here is an article about this choice from TVLine (by Michael Ausiello):

"An episode of Syfy’s Haven dealing with fictitious violence at a high school scheduled to air tonight has been pulled from the schedule in the wake of this morning’s shocking mass shooting at a Newtown, Conn. elementary school.

“In light of today’s tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, we have decided not to air it,” the network said in a statement. “At this time, no decision has been made as to when the episode will air.”

Laura Vandervoort, who was to kick off a two-episode arc tonight as James Cogan’s vengeful wife, commends Syfy’s call, which she played a role in making. “There’s a fine line between our art of evoking emotions in others, portraying tainted, troubled and broken characters, and reality,” the Smallville alum tells TVLine. “I feel immense pain and sympathy for the families and children [in Newtown] and couldn’t bear the thought of the images in tonight’s episode upsetting people.”

And as a character who at one point in the episode walks a high school’s halls carrying a gun, “I couldn’t stomach it,” she shares. “I’m proud of Haven and Syfy for making the decision they did.”

Will Laura Vandervoort raise hell on Haven?

This article from TVLIne (by Matt Webb Mitovich) also talks about of the role of Laura in the two final episodes of Haven (will air, Friday December 14 and Friday December 21 at 10PM ET/PT on Syfy).

"Will Supergirl raise hell on Haven?

Smallville alum Laura Vandervoort kicks off her two-episode arc this Friday, starting with Season 3′s penultimate episode, and this much viewers have gleaned about her heretofore top-secret role: She is playing Arla, the wife of James Cogan (aka The Colorado Kid) — a neat trick since sooo many years have passed and she looks… well, like a twentysomething Laura Vandervoort. The actress describes Arla as someone who is “out for vengeance” yet is also “a true romantic who has been hurt.” The stone-cold revenge-seeker in her, though, promises to show fans “someone they haven’t seen me play before,” she raves. (I’ve seen this run’s final two hours, and Arla plays a pivotal role in some wiiiild stuff that goes down, as Audrey debates her fate/date with The Barn.)"
